Linksmith is course intelligence for the traveling golfer. We map and measure every course in a destination and rank it for your game, so you can choose where to play with something better than marketing copy.
What Linksmith is
For a golf destination, we decode every course down to its routing, hazards, per-hole wind, walkability, and tee fit, then let you rank the whole field for the player you actually are. It is the read you would want from a friend who has played them all, backed by data you can check.
Why it exists
Planning a trip means choosing from dozens of courses you have never seen, using directories that list everyone the same and marketing that calls every course a must-play. We built Linksmith to cut through that, one destination at a time, with numbers instead of adjectives.
How we are different
- Independent. We do not sell tee times or take payment to move a course up a list. There is nothing to buy your way into.
- Open data. Every figure is computed from public sources: scorecards, OpenStreetMap geometry, satellite imagery, and weather forecasts. No black boxes.
- Honest by design. The Linksmith Test measures how demanding a course is, not how good it is. We do not fabricate a best-of, and a course we cannot fully map is scored neutrally, never penalized.
