The word on the course.
How golfers talk about it, summarized from public reviews. Their opinions, not our scoring.
An old-school city muni gem, one of Arizona’s oldest courses, with wide flat fairways, mature trees, little rough and an easygoing parkland feel in a historic central-Phoenix neighborhood. Forgiving and fun for the average player at modest cost, not a championship test.
Consistently praised
- Wide, level fairways and minimal rough let average players score and relax.
- Classic 1930s parkland character with mature trees.
Worth knowing
- Not a difficult or modern test; low-handicap players may find it tame.
Golfers recommend
- A good flat walking course — play it for the easy pace and old-Phoenix feel.
- Bring the driver; fairways are generous.
