The word on the course.
How golfers talk about it, summarized from public reviews. Their opinions, not our scoring.
A John Fought / Todd Schoeder design with an open, almost links-like feel set against the San Jacinto Mountains, where staying in the fairway matters because desert scrub punishes the wayward. Golfers love the value and views, though opinions split on the greens and whether the wide-open holes feel repetitive.
Consistently praised
- A wide-open, links-inspired layout that lets you swing freely.
- A striking San Jacinto backdrop, especially the closing holes, at frequent best-value status.
Worth knowing
- Miss the fairway and the desert scrub punishes you; mixed feedback on greens and bunkers.
Golfers recommend
- Keep it in play; the trouble is the desert, not water (water is minimal).
- Pair it as a relaxed value day rather than a championship test.
