The word on the course.
How golfers talk about it, summarized from public reviews. Their opinions, not our scoring.
A Billy Casper / Greg Nash design at a 55+ community, called the shorter but tougher of the two Mountain Vista courses, with tighter driving lines, more bunkering and water, and large undulating greens that defend par near the hole. Reviewers stress it stays fair and playable for all levels despite the lopsided routing.
Consistently praised
- A mountain backdrop and tidy, well-kept conditioning.
- Generous fairways and forgiving green surrounds keep it fair for higher handicaps.
Worth knowing
- Lopsided routing: a very short front nine then a much longer, tougher back; no driving range.
Golfers recommend
- Expect large undulating greens with sneaky edge pins; favor center.
- Warm up elsewhere, since San Gorgonio has no range.
