02What golfers say

The word on the course.

How golfers talk about it, summarized from public reviews. Their opinions, not our scoring.

A classic Bob Baldock private club tucked into a quiet valley between Salinas and Carmel, with elevated tees, tree-lined fairways and small fast greens. An under-the-radar members’ course that rewards strategic play without the drama or expense of the Peninsula resorts, the kind of round locals quietly prefer.

Best forShot-making

Consistently praised

A secluded foothills setting with mature sycamores, oaks and pines.
Elevated tees on 1 and 10 and a memorable peninsula-style finishing hole; small, quick greens consistently singled out.

Private club, access is limited to members and their guests.

Golfers recommend

Worth angling for a member invite if you’re staying in the area and want a calmer alternative to resort golf.
Don’t expect Peninsula scenery; this is a valley parkland round with its own character.
