The word on the course.
How golfers talk about it, summarized from public reviews. Their opinions, not our scoring.
A Rees Jones desert layout in north Scottsdale that golfers praise for variety — no two holes alike, with the back nine the highlight. It looks intimidating off the tee but plays fairly, with more room than the desert carries suggest.
Consistently praised
- Strong variety; reviewers note no hole feels like the last and the back nine stands out.
- Big desert framing with Black Mountain, Pinnacle Peak and Lone Mountain views.
Worth knowing
- Desert carries line most fairways, so it intimidates higher handicaps even though landing areas are fair; a few blind shots.
Golfers recommend
- A quality-without-the-premium alternative to the marquee Scottsdale tracks.
- Pick a tee that keeps the desert carries comfortable.
