The word on the course.
How golfers talk about it, summarized from public reviews. Their opinions, not our scoring.
Anthem’s tougher layout, a Greg Nash design golfers describe as a high-risk, high-reward test with bold bunkering, big elevation changes and water everywhere. The "Anthem Alley" stretch through holes 10 to 12 is notorious for wrecking scorecards.
Consistently praised
- Dramatic elevation changes and a Sonoran mountain-oasis setting.
- A genuine high-risk, high-reward shot-maker’s test with bold bunkering.
Worth knowing
- "Anthem Alley" and seven water features pile up big numbers; blind shots disadvantage first-timers.
Golfers recommend
- Get yardages and hole layouts in advance; hidden hazards reward local knowledge.
- Bail out to the dry side through Anthem Alley.
